The Bridging Visas, RRVs and Recent Changes Workshop is a 3-hour intensive workshop that provides in-depth analysis into the criteria and eligible pathways for applicants to be granted a Bridging Visa, ranging from Bridging Visas A – F and R. The workshop addresses circumstances for unlawful applicants, unlawful maritime arrivals and applicants who are in immigration detention. The workshop also covers Resident Return Visas and Recent Legislative changes over the last 12 months in Migration Law.

The Workshop is intended to provide Registered Migration Agents (RMA professionals) and Lawyers with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the legal criteria and advise clients confidently the bridging visas and resident return visas applicable to their circumstances.

RECENT CHANGES, BRIDGING VISAS AND PARTNER VISAS WORKSHOP

The Recent Changes, Bridging visas and Partner Visas Workshop is a  3-hour intensive workshop that provides in-depth analysis into recent legislative and case law changes in the past 6-12 months, including changes post 1 July 2023. The workshop will also cover eligiblity criteria and advanced issues relating to bridging visas. The Workshop will also cover issues pertaining to Partner visas and family violence provisions.


Workshops will consist of discussion and working examples. There is no assessment component but participants will be given an opportunity to engage with workable examples based on real-life scenarios. Feedback will be provided during the session.

Participation is limited to 30 places.

For Registered Migration Agents (RMA):

Attendees must remain in attendance for the duration of the Workshop in order to be eligible for the award of the 1 CPD point for OMARA.

For Lawyers: 

Continuing Professional Development (CPD): This professional development activity has been designed to meet the CPD needs of lawyers. If this session does meet your CPD needs according to the Uniform CPD (Solicitors) Rules 2015 available here  you may claim 1 CPD unit for each hour of attendence (Breaks not included).

This workshop falls within the Substantive Law CPD field for Lawyers.

*CPD Recordings for Lawyers: 

The Video recordings have been designed to meet the CPD needs of lawyers. If the session does meet your CPD needs according to the Uniform CPD (Solicitors) Rules 2015 available here, you may claim 1 CPD unit for each hour of  viewing (breaks not included). These recordings are considered Private Study units of an audio/visual material.

Each workshop and information session video replay includes a set of presentation slides and relevant case studies (if applicable). Workbooks are not included in the pricing and are available for purchase separately here.

Lawyers are advised to check their relevant State/Territory legal regulator on the limit of CPD units available to be claimed as Private Study units.

*Recordings for Non-Lawyer RMAs:

Non-lawyer RMAs are unable to claim OMARA CPD points for pre-recorded CPD recordings or video replays of a workshop or information session. If you need OMARA CPD points, Enriched Migration Training offers a range of CPD topics relevant to your migration agency practice for OMARA Re-registration purposes. CPD workshops (Face-to-Face or online webinars) are offered “live” to meet the OMARA CPD requirements for RMAs and Lawyers.
